Bulk Messenger
The Bulk Messenger tool in Funnel allows users with access to send mass communication emails to leads or residents. Click here to access a word version of the job aid.
Accessing Bulk Messenger in Funnel
- Navigate to Funnel and select the Contacts tab
- Click Send Bulk Message
- To begin building the bulk message, choose a Message Category to aid in reporting
- Select + Add Contacts
- Select the desired Community from the list
- Select the Status of the prospects or residents to send the Bulk Message to. More than one status may be selected. Status options include:

- Prospect
- Toured
- Applicant
- Resident
- Did Not Rent
- Vendor/Spam
- Select the Contacts to Include in the List. Selecting All Contacts on the Record will also include any occupants on the record:

- Only the Primary Contact
- All Contacts on Record
- Once the Community, Status, and Contacts are selected, Funnel will present additional filters to narrow down the records the bulk message will be delivered to. Filter options include:

- Move In
- Layout
- Budget
- Building - only appears if ‘Resident’ status is selected
- Floor - only appears if ‘Resident’ status is selected
- Unit Type - only appears if ‘Resident’ status is selected
- Unit - only appears if ‘Resident’ status is selected
- Once all Filters are selected, click Add X Contacts. This will add the total number of contacts based on the filters used to the bulk message.
- Enter a Subject for the bulk message
- Begin composing the message utilizing the available formatting features
- Alternatively, users may also insert Templates and Blocks into the body of the email by selecting input Templates and Blocks and choosing the desired input from the window.

- Templates must be enabled for the Bulk Messenger tool. Contact the Funnel Account Manager to activate Message Templates that are specific to the Bulk Messenger Tool
- Once satisfied with the content of the email, select Send.
- The Bulk message will be sent from a unique email address made up of the community name + a variable (For example, monteraypines_1k@apts.email). This allows any responses to the bulk messages to be tracked as such in Funnel. These responses will appear in the Funnel Messenger like any other inbound email.
Bulk Messenger Report
The Bulk Messenger Report shows bulk messages sent in the selected time range with insight into open rates and the number of contacts included in the message.
- Navigate to Funnel and select Reports
- Select the Bulk Messages report.
- The report will provide the following information about Bulk Messages sent:

- Date/Time Sent
- Category
- Subject Line
- Contacts Sent To
- Total Emails Sent
- Opens
- Open Rate
- Agent Who Composed Message
- Team/Community Sent To
